Good reasons for personal yoga classes…
YOU ARE UNIQUE – I have not met 2 people the same yet.

The way in which YOU relate to yoga and how it will meet YOUR needs will always be different from the next person.
– Familiarise yourself with the way YOUR body responds.
– The out of the box movements are easily overdone or misaligned.
– Best way to lay a good foundation is good breath control.
– Gaining confidence that one is practising safely knowing it’s right.
– For those who already practice it is a chance to go deeper.
– All the attention that one might not receive in a group class.
– It is a chance to refine and work on the specific parts of your practise that most need it.
– Be introduced to things which are rarely addressed in group classes.

It may not surprise you that a woman’s hip is anatomically different than that of a man’s. However, did you realize there are variations among every hip bone?
Each individual’s femur (thigh bone) can vary significantly in length, width, neck length, head diameter; the femur head can have a gazillion different angles; and your left can be very different to your right.
OMG does that mean we are all going to have issues sooner or later?
No. Yoga welcomes the differences that make you unique and ensures muscle balance and flexibility 🙂 to counter act any variances. Yep, that is the answer.

It’s ok to have bad postural habits i.e. a swayback. In a one to one you will be gently adjusted and your body will gradually understand and change. In a class you will do every single pose being misaligned ( ‘swaybacked’ ) , if lucky being adjusted in some classes – yet your  life long habit may never be addressed in a class environment.
